How does one achieve this
balance? The trick is to take a
bit more time initially when you
compose. Look at this inner
space holistically and eliminate
those things that are not
essential. This little exercise
will go a long way in making
your images dynamic!
(c) For
the big picture, you need to see
the smaller one.
There are perhaps more images
hidden within a photograph then
you realize. Look closely at all
aspects of the image that you
have shot.
Cropping an
image correctly is also an art.
In fact, cropping an image after
it’s been shot is as important
as composing an image before you
shoot. Practice this and your
message will come across with
more clarity.
(d) The
magic of film, especially
transparency film.
As important as B&W film is,
everybody who has used it
extensively will agree that it
is also very complex. Even for
the experienced professional,
B&W photography is a bit like
trying to gaze into a bottomless
pit.
